December is over and the new year is here, which sadly means that Christmas (and all the yummy food and fun celebrations that came with it) has officially ended. My tree and decorations are down, and I’m back to the 9-5 working life. Although 2019 has kicked off to a good start, I always find January rather dull and anti-climactic, so what better time to post my December photos and reminisce over the festiveness.
My lovely friend Rach (From Books Inter alia) came up to Bath, so we had a lovely lunch and did some Christmas shopping.
I went down to Devon to visit my family before Christmas…
… where I went out for fish and chips (or a halloumi burger in my case) with mum and sister – we do this every year and its our tradition to wear our Christmas jumpers.
Josh’s family came up to Bath a few days before Christmas also, and we did a present switch ready for the big day and had some yummy lunch.
We spent Christmas day at home this year, and with just the two of us it was perfect; it was the quiet, relaxing day I had hoped it would be.
We ate lots of yummy food, drank lots of Gin (well I did) and played lots of board games.
In the time between Christmas and new year we mostly stayed at home watching films, and went for a few pretty, wintry walks.
We have even been for a few runs (running more is one of my goals for 2019, and you can check them out here) …
… and what better place to run than along the scenic canal.
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!
